"I tested out several other programs before purchasing Landlord Studio and I'm very happy with it so far. One of my favorite features is the ability to just snap a picture of a receipt and put it in the correct rental unit expense."
"Managing 20 rentals alone was overwhelming, but Landlord Studio became my one-stop shop. It simplified bookkeeping, rent, leases, and taxes — even my CPA loves it."
"I found Landlord Studio so much easier to understand after I looked at AppFolio, RentRedi, and Buildium. All three of them were so hard to understand."

What is real estate accounting software for landlords?
Real estate accounting software for landlords tracks rental income and expenses property by property, so you can see the profit on each rental and prepare your taxes without a spreadsheet. Landlord Studio adds bank feeds, receipt scanning and Schedule E-ready reports, and it's free for up to 3 units.
Is there free rental property accounting software?
Yes. The Go plan is free for up to 3 units and includes income and expense tracking, the receipt scanner, mileage and basic reports. Bank feeds and Schedule E reports are on Pro, which you can try free for 14 days with no credit card.
Can I use QuickBooks for rental property accounting?
You can, but QuickBooks is built for general businesses, so you'll need to set up classes for each property and map your categories to Schedule E yourself. Landlord Studio does this out of the box and also handles rent collection, leases and tenant screening.
Does Landlord Studio create a Schedule E report?
Yes. Income and expense categories map to Schedule E, so the report is ready when you are. Schedule E and the other tax-ready reports are included on Pro and Pro Plus.
Are bank feeds secure?
Yes. Bank feeds connect through Plaid, the same service used by apps like Venmo and Robinhood. The connection is read-only and encrypted, so Landlord Studio never stores your bank login and cannot move money from your account.
How do I set up bank feeds?
Open the bank feeds section in the Landlord Studio app and follow the guided setup to link your bank through Plaid. Once connected, transactions sync automatically and you match each one to the right property or unit. Bank feeds are included on Pro.
Can my accountant or CPA access my books?
Yes. Give your accountant access, export reports as PDF or CSV, or sync both ways with Xero on Pro.
Does it work for multiple properties and multifamily buildings?
Yes. Track income and expenses for a whole portfolio, a single property, a unit or even a room, and run reports at any of those levels. You can also import a spreadsheet of past records so the year is complete.
Can I use Landlord Studio for commercial and residential rentals?
Yes. Landlord Studio works for residential and commercial landlords. Track income and expenses property by property, then run reports on a single asset or compare performance across your portfolio.
How much does Landlord Studio cost?
Go is free for up to 3 units. Pro is $12 a month billed annually, or $15 month to month, with 3 units included and $1.20 for each extra unit. Pro Plus is $28 a month billed annually.
