John Toon is the Technology Strategy Lead at his firm and the host of the Digi-Tools In Accrual World podcast. He leads a talented team specializing in data analytics, BI reporting, software development, automation, and systems advisory. Together, they help the firm and its clients leverage technology effectively, modernize processes, and maintain a competitive edge—all while understanding the potential risks.

A Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Fellow Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (FMAAT), John began his career in accountancy in 2002 after three years as a water sports instructor. Since joining his current firm in 2015, he has driven digital transformation initiatives and built systems advisory services that help businesses streamline finance and operations.

John frequently speaks at industry conferences, collaborates with technology vendors, and contributes to the technology strategy of HLB International, supporting advisory services worldwide.
