Yes. FreeAgent is HMRC-recognised for MTD for Income Tax and MTD for VAT, and files quarterly updates and the final declaration directly to HMRC. Landlord Studio is also HMRC-recognised, with MTD submissions included on its Pro plan (from £12/month) and available at £5 per submission on its free plan.
FreeAgent is free for as long as you hold a business current account with NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland or Ulster Bank, or a Mettle account with at least one transaction a month. Without an eligible bank account, the landlord plan costs £10/month + VAT. Landlord Studio is free for up to 3 properties whoever you bank with, with Pro from £12/month.
FreeAgent is UK accounting software — bookkeeping, Self Assessment, VAT, and MTD filing — with a dedicated version for unincorporated landlords.
