Will the message history hold up in a dispute?
We have designed Landlord Studio to align with best practices in line with the UK government's compliance requests and to support landlords with a clear, timestamped record of every message, document and request tied to the tenancy. Whether a tribunal or court accepts it is their decision, but a complete dated log is the kind of evidence they look for.
Is it secure and is my tenant data handled properly?
Tenant data is stored securely - tenants only see information related to their own tenancy. As a landlord you're responsible for your own data protection obligations as a controller; the platform is built to support those obligations, including providing the audit trail and access controls you need.
How does this compare to using WhatsApp with tenants?
WhatsApp is fast and familiar but it's a personal messaging app, not a property management tool. Messages can be deleted, your personal number is exposed, there's no link to the tenancy or property, and nothing else integrates with your workflow. The portal solves all of these things.
