Native iOS/Android Mobile Engineer

New Zealand valid work visa or residency is required for this position. 

We are looking for an Intermediate or Senior native mobile engineer to join our team in Auckland or Wellington.

On offer is a unique opportunity to help develop and improve our rapidly growing cloud based property management platform. We require a motivated and technically capable developer to take ownership of our native iOS and Android apps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end experience on the Landlord Studio app for landlords and tenants.
  • Work alongside developers and designers to design and implement complex solutions
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
  • Comply with project plans and industry standards
  • Help evaluate and research new technologies to use in our systems

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years commercial experience as a mobile developer.
  • Experience in both iOS or Android development including Obj-C, Swift, Foundation, UIKit, Core Animation, Core Data, Quartz Core, Java and Kotlin (optional).
  • Strong customer focus and appreciation of what makes good product, UX and design
  • Understanding of application security vulnerabilities, such as the OWASP Top 10, and can educate other developers how to prevent security issues.

Great to have but not required:

  • Contributing to public open source project(s) and involvement in local technology communities.
  • Released personal apps into the app store.
  • Working with teams in remote locations.
  • A degree in Computer Science or relevant field, however we’re more interested in your commercial experience.
