Business Development Manager

We’re looking for an experienced business development manager to supercharge and scale our product distribution. You’ll be working with banks, credit unions, insurance agencies, and mortgage brokers to establish a mutually beneficial relationship for both businesses and, most importantly, our customers.

The ideal candidate is someone that is an accomplished contributor who possesses excellent knowledge and experience in pitching and presenting to large enterprise clients for the Financial Services/Fintech industry. You’ll need in-depth knowledge and experience in client-facing account management with a consistent track record.

We’re a high growth and agile software company that draws experience from both the real estate and financial services sector, with backing from prominent Angel and VC investors, including Blackbird Ventures. 

What you’ll do

  • Identify sales prospects and build an enterprise sales pipeline.
  • Develop new client relationships with financial institutions, insurance agencies, and mortgage brokers.
  • Develop and execute strategies to implement lead generation initiatives.
  • Deliver presentations, training, and meet-ups to existing and new clients.
  • Attend and present to trade shows and fintech conferences. Become recognized as an industry SME internally and externally.
  • Support our enterprise-focused strategy by spotting trends and areas for improvement with “ears on the ground” paired with strong analytical capability.

Responsibilities

  • Build a strong sales pipeline, and ensure regular updates of all opportunities.
  • Self-sourcing leads, meeting potential clients, and securing new business opportunities.
  • Achieve sales targets & objectives to maximize growth.
  • Partner identification, development, and management.
  • Present demos to potential clients.
  • Ensure customers understand the value proposition of the product and service offerings.
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Business Development Manager or Account Manager for a Fintech in the USA (bonus if you also have UK experience)
  • A self-starting, positive individual with a superior ability to make and maintain productive human connections.
  • Flexible & adaptable – the role will require both office presence and travel.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able and willing to assume responsibilities.
  • Consistent track record in managing large enterprise clients and ability to present confidently to C-Level clients.
  • Entrepreneurial / Innovative – ability to find opportunities and develop new or alternative propositions for clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to engage all levels of partners.
  • Strong sales discipline (sales campaigns, account follow up, reporting).
  • (Desirable) Experience or interest in a startup preferred – you will be key in shaping our enterprise proposition.
